It's very poignant, isn't it, and in a funny way still has that tragic, surprising, and unfortunate end that so many of the Aussi animals have in this series of yours.

Seems to be a common thing with the aussie animals....all getting rare or endangered or at risk...
what is it with you people?
don't you like animals?

how can anyone not adore the pygmy possum???

still have to kill me a bilby though :)

i was thinking the other day how it would feel being the last of a species, and if they really knew. immense sadness beyond understanding i imagine

What would you do? Sheep?

I suppose you would feel like a cobwebby aristo who had to conceded that he's lost the family home.

It would be desolate and lonely probably.
