WITH HEAVY SIGH, I TURNED AND WALKED AWAY aka beyond
WITH HEAVY SIGH,
I TURNED AND WALKED AWAY,
Shirt clinging to sweaty back,
Shovel dropping drying dirt,
As it tapped along the ground,
I stop, and turn again,
No visible mound, no tell tale sign,
Of work been done, of job complete.
Backpackers – who’d miss ‘em!
