Waffle

Truth is perceived and relative.
One truth can mean two things.
And yet...
.
There is no truth.
.
Words are lies
No matter who
Or why
Or when.
.
Deeds are truth.

"There is no truth.
Deeds are truth."

So that would mean ..? Even deeds aren't true .. :D

But really interesting take on "truth" .. I enjoy your little verses, immensely. They often make me think.

"Art is the lie that reveals the truth." IF anything is true, deeds are truth. Indeed. ("The Word became flesh and dwelt among us." springs to mind.) "But could 'lie' be too harsh a lable for words? Lie connotates deliberate deception. Could it be that we expect to much from word?

Hmmm, no, I think words are lies, if only back to the old problem of matching meaning/symbol...
It distorts.

But alas deed can do the same.
But deed has an edge of concrete.
A definate done, not a said implied...

Hope that made sense...do our symbols match?

the 'word' become flesh? bad example imo... a lie made solid...
a falsehood...maybe he was the great deciever, armageddon been and gone. Welcome to hell...
