Dancer 6 of 7
Dancing to fallen strings,
See me dance!
A proud pavane,
Hooked on fiery barbs of morning star,
Hesitant steps, and peacocks tail,
No humility in me.
Dancing till I drop,
Then I’ll pay the piper,
Broken on a wheel, limbs spoke threaded,
Hammering out a different dance for eternity.
See me dance!
A proud pavane,
Hooked on fiery barbs of morning star,
Hesitant steps, and peacocks tail,
No humility in me.
Dancing till I drop,
Then I’ll pay the piper,
Broken on a wheel, limbs spoke threaded,
Hammering out a different dance for eternity.

You are such a terrific poet!
Great series. The repeating lines work very well. The wayward dance generates its own hell, like our obsessions. (I can't stop moving my feet.) Or, I had the dance -- now the dance has me.
Laughter and dancing ... such ominous pursuits.
whoohoo......a different dance for eternity.....true be that:)
