Quitter II
I want a lover, wife and more
I want an income, a good one
I want a child, my immortality
I want a home, comforting and secure
I want friends, to trust and share with
But what I really want, desire, Need
Is a cigarette…
I want a lover, wife and more
I want an income, a good one
I want a child, my immortality
I want a home, comforting and secure
I want friends, to trust and share with
But what I really want, desire, Need
Is a cigarette…

nicotine - nasty grabfisted little drug. deserves to be shoved into a poem as the worst sort of metaphor.
yup.
quitting this lil' bitch is hard.
well, for me leastways...
oh well, shall just have to get on with it...
bowie once said that kicking cocaine and booze was comaritively easy compared to quiting smoking.
comParitively even
The cigarette does the smoking - you're just the sucker. :-)
WOW-your readers are awesome. I agree with shy machete. If you are gonna bother with something that is gonna kill you, take the hard drugs. They are easier to quit and I would venture to say it's worth it if you learn your lesson soon enough. Of course, you could also die. Took me 5 years, but I did learn. I have never smoked cigarettes, except when I dipped them in coke. The numbness is nice. :)
Did the hard drugs...well, some of them.
Easy quittings.
Cigs...much harder.
